Two more venues for D&D London
We’ve been working with D&D London since 2010. London venues include the original Bluebird in Chelsea, Mayfair’s famous Quaglino’s, and Le Pont de la Tour with a fabulous riverside location in Shad Thames. We’re delighted that this is an ongoing relationship, and to be their sole London supplier of juicers and juicing fruit.
The London-based restaurant group was founded by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi (the eponymous Ds) in 2006, following a buyout of the Conran Restaurant group. They’ve since expanded beyond London, with venues in Leeds and Manchester, and overseas in Paris, Tokyo and New York. Their latest venture is an exciting new restaurant in the heart of Manchester.
20 Stories is a restaurant and bar on the 19th storey of new development, No.1 Spinningfields. It opened on 1 March this year with Executive Chef Aiden Byrne at the helm. Once the youngest chef to earn a Michelin star, he has created an irresistible menu with some fantastic local produce. The rooftop terrace has the most incredible views across the city – and is the best place in town to enjoy a cocktail.
The cocktail menu is simply dazzling (and we know a good cocktail menu when we see one). Bar manager Stuart McLachlan has designed a menu inspired by Manchester’s vibrant cultural diversity. Try the MCR Champagne Cocktail, given added zing with Zummo lemon juice, or The Mosaic, which uses pink grapefruit juice. They also have some of the nicest alcohol-free cocktails we’ve encountered, which really showcase our quality fruit juices. We’re sure that 20 Stories will fast become one of Manchester’s real go-to venues.
Back in London, D&D has opened a new branch of its iconic Bluebird brand (the third after Chelsea and New York). It’s our second venue at the new White City development (the other being Soho House’s White City House), and we love the energy of this regenerated iconic site.
The café opened just last month. Like its big sister in Chelsea, it provides a laid-back buzz, and offers all-day dining and drinking. The terrace, which overlooks the famous piazza, is the perfect spot for a cocktail – try their signature Bluebird Feather with lashings of lovely lime juice. If you’re there for breakfast or brunch, start your day with a zing and enjoy one of their freshly-squeezed fruit juices. It’s early days, but we have a hunch that the Zummo Z40 will be kept very busy indeed!
If you own or manage an establishment that sells fresh fruit juice or cocktails, please get in touch with us at Zummo London to find out how we can work together. We can visit your site and give you a no-obligation demonstration of the Zummo Z40, the fastest commercial juicer on the market. And don’t forget, our juicers are free on-loan within the M25, and competitively priced elsewhere in the UK.
