ZUMMO LONDON SUPPLIES THE LEGENDARY MEMBERS’ CLUBS
Soho House started out in 1995 as a members’ club in London’s Greek Street, where creatives could meet and relax in luxurious surroundings. Soho House’s growing portfolio of private clubs now includes 18 venues across Europe and the US; and Zummo London is currently installing Zummo Z40 juicers in all their elegant UK locations.
The diversity of these high-end sites is incredible and makes this a truly fascinating contract for us. One thing all Soho House establishments have in common is their insistence upon the best quality; every detail has to be just right for their clientele. We agree wholeheartedly with this ethos – and make sure that their members have the finest freshly-squeezed juices for their drinks.
It’s an ongoing project, and we’ll keep you up to date on our latest installations. Here are the stylish Soho House premises we’ve supplied so far…
This was the original Soho House club, comprising five elegant Georgian townhouses. It offers food and drink ranging from long, lazy brunches to traditional Sunday lunches; and the Z40 provides everything from freshly-squeezed breakfast juices to mixers for the Courtyard Bar.
Set in 100 acres of Oxfordshire countryside, the Soho Farmhouse has forty log cabins and wonderful dining spaces in former farm buildings. Members can enjoy a cocktail in one of the bars, or a refreshing juice after their time in the Cowshed Spa.
Babington House is in the beautiful Somerset countryside, and again, has a luxurious Cowshed Spa. Our Z40 helps out with the cocktails – and the “Babington Zombie” makes full use of the pomegranate squeezing option.
The Little House is located in London’s heartlands of private clubs, Mayfair, and offers opulent old-world comfort. It has a private restaurant, drawing room and salon bar. They offer an extensive range of gorgeous cocktails, and their House Press juices use Z40-squeezed oranges, limes and lemons.
On London’s famous Portobello Road, Electric House is named the cinema next door, one of the oldest in the capital. Combining live music with libraries, this diverse private club is home to an exceptional art collection, velvet sofas and a stunning rooftop terrace. The Club Bar serves absolutely marvellous cocktails.
On the site of the historic Foubert’s Hotel, High Road House has a choice of rooms to eat and drink, a contemporary British art collection and an events programme. Again, look out for a refreshing range of cocktails!
Shoreditch House in East London takes up the top two floors of a converted tea warehouse. It’s a members’ club with bedrooms, and it boasts a rooftop pool, Cowshed Spa, and a selection of places to unwind with superb food and drink. The Rooftop Restaurant has a marvellous cocktail menu, keeping the Zummo Z40 busy.
This modern Italian restaurant in London’s Mayfair is one of several outposts of Cecconi’s found worldwide. It serves classic Italian cuisine all day; and the Z40 assists with the delicious cocktails, freshly-squeezed juices, and presses. There’s another branch of Cecconi’s in…
The Ned is named after the building’s architect, Sir Edward Lutyens. Once a Midland Bank, this city building retains its 1920s glamour, and has eight restaurants, most of which are open to non-members. Upstairs, there’s a heated pool overlooking the City; and the former bank’s two domes have been converted into unique club spaces.
One of the oldest townhouses in Westminster, 76 Dean Street has a traditionally opulent atmosphere, and members can relax here from breakfast right up until late night drinks. Their cocktail menu makes the most of the Zummo Z40’s ability to produce fresh lime juice – an ingredient all mixologists cry out for.
The grill is a popular late-night hangout in Shoreditch, serving American classics form breakfast until the early hours. Grab a leather banquette with your friends, and sample their expertly-mixed cocktails (accompanied by a DJ set some nights). While you’re in Shoreditch, call into Barber & Parlour for a beauty treatment or a hipster beard groom. The Z40 supplies this upmarket salon with fruit for juices and cocktails, too.
This French-style members’ club in Soho has just been refurbished, and offers traditional French favourites such as steak frites and moules mariniere. The Zummo Z40’s efforts can be appreciated in their delicious fresh juices and collection of cocktails.
The Georgian townhouse has bedrooms, restaurants and an Art Nouveau champagne bar. The décor is classically elegant, and there are plenty of comfortable corners to relax, unwind and chat with a cocktail.
Earlier this month, we installed a Z40 in the exciting new development in the former BBC HQ, in Wood Lane. Soho House has two floors of this legendary building, and their latest members’ club includes over forty bedrooms and two swimming pools. Just imagine a cocktail by the rooftop pool, looking out over the West London skyline – in the place where some of Britain’s most iconic television programmes were made…
