World Gin Day 2017

Last year was dubbed ‘the year of gin’ by the Wine & Spirit Trade Association as sales of the spirit rose 19% in bars, pubs and restaurants and were worth £619m.

This year, as the world continues to celebrate the popular spirit with World Gin Day, bars can not only join in, but stand out from the crowd by adding some zesty zing to their cocktail lists.

Our latest and most efficient machine yet – the Zummo Z40 – can squeeze 1.5 litres of lime juice in just 60 seconds, perfect for creating a tangy gin gimlet (or 10). It can also produce 2 litres of lemon juice, 3 litres of orange juice and 4.8 litres of grapefruit juice in the same amount of time.

  • Gin gimlet = 25ml gin, 25ml lime juice, 1 tsp sugar
  • Tom Collins = 50ml gin, 25ml lemon juice, 10ml sugar syrup, dash of soda water
  • Salty Dog = 25ml gin, 50ml grapefruit juice, orange slice, glass with salted rim
