As a leading juicing solution provider, we’re encouraging bartenders and mixologists to get fruity and experiment with cocktails that combine gin and fresh fruit juice.
Last year was dubbed ‘the year of gin’ by the Wine & Spirit Trade Association as sales of the spirit rose 19% in bars, pubs and restaurants and were worth £619m.
This year, as the world continues to celebrate the popular spirit with World Gin Day, bars can not only join in, but stand out from the crowd by adding some zesty zing to their cocktail lists.
Our latest and most efficient machine yet – the Zummo Z40 – can squeeze 1.5 litres of lime juice in just 60 seconds, perfect for creating a tangy gin gimlet (or 10). It can also produce 2 litres of lemon juice, 3 litres of orange juice and 4.8 litres of grapefruit juice in the same amount of time.
Zummo London sales director Mark Riley said: “Citrus juices are the perfect partner to gin as they can really enhance the botanicals in it. If you are using premium gins on World Gin Day then surely you’ll only want to use the freshest, tastiest juice with them.
“The Zummo Z40 not only produces the freshest juice, but it does so super-fast. The perfect aide to help bartenders meet demand on what will no doubt be a busy day, and summer season, as people seek out the city’s best cocktails.”
We’re proud of our impressive customer portfolio which boasts some of the most talked about hotel bars in the capital, including The Chiltern Firehouse, Shangri-La at The Shard and Soho House’s brand new hotel The Ned. Our belief is that every bar with a premium cocktail offering should be using only the very best juice so as not to compromise on flavour. What could beat the taste of juice squeezed straight from Covent Garden’s best fruit?
Here are our top gin and citrus cocktails to inspire you:
